Moon Dog by Lucy Baik

Moon dog linocut print (landscape 29.7 x 21cm unframed) 

Moonlight is reflected on the river as The Matthew ship is docked in the harbour. A lone dog sits in his boat staring at the beauty of the moon. 

Lucy begins by sketching the place and animals, then refines and traces the drawing to transfer it onto lino, which she carves and prints by hand using ink applied with a roller.
